In The Market For A Used Chevrolet Atlanta?
Buying a Used Toyota Atlanta these days can be a bit enjoyable for anyone, especially if you live in a big city where a search for a Used Chevrolet Atlanta returns hundreds of used car dealers. Going long distances to Atlanta seems to be the norm these days when it comes to saving dollars on any new or used vehicle today. Folks start thier search online for anything that is obtainable today, particularly used cars, if it’s out there you can normaly find it on the internet. Home shopping from your laptop is one of the most efficient way to save fuel and money when searching for a used car online. When it comes to finding that hard to find tid-bit of information, or a present for that certain someone the internet can be used like a well oiled machine.
Having to go from a new car loan and back into a used vehicle that is much less exspensive in order to save a dollar these days is what many of us had to do when wondering how to preserve our childrens future. Even small car business owners are having to cut back spending in every aspect they can, even if it means down sizing half of their work force and buying less exspensive vehicles just to keep the doors open.
This is not particularly what I had in mind a few ago when making money seemed to come natural in this thriving market we had become accustomed to. Coming up with an all new way to make a buck is like frying an egg on an open grill. The only product being purchased right now and moving forward is the used car business. Being helpful and honest are going to be main factors in keeping sales on a rise in the new car industry, along with a service department with reliable service.
Introducing the Nissan Sentra
Eastern auto makers Nissan Motors produced a compact automobile called the Nissan Sentra as early as 1982. In fact this line was actually the Nissan sunny that was rebadged for export. Thus, the name’Sentra’ is only used outside Japan, while the name’Sunny’ is only known within Japan. In the united states market, the Nissan Sentra is the vehicle manufacturer’s line of compact automobiles. A base model for the Sentra is at present priced in the region of $15,000. The luxurious mode in the meantime, fetches for a minimum of $21,000. Thru the generations, the Sentra has developed and gained a lot of mass. Nowadays, it is not an entry-level automobile anymore, as this difference has been handed to the Nissan Versa. The US EPA has rated the existing Sentra generation as medium sized car, not a compact anymore, thanks to the volume of its interior. The first generation of Maximas, made available from 1983 to 1985 came in various body styles : 2-door sedan , 3-door hatch , 3-door coupe, 4-door sedan , and 5-door station truck . Its engine was either a 1.5L E15 ( s ) I4, a 1.6L E16 ( s ) I4, or a1.7L CD17 diesel I4. Transmissions included 4 speed or 5-speed manual or 3-speed automated.
since that point, 5 generations of Sentras have been introduced to the general public : the second or the B12 generation ( from 1985 to 1990 ) ; the 3rd or B13 generation ( from 1991 to 1994 ), which introduced the sporty 2-door SE-R model ; the 4th B14 generation ( 1995-1999 ) which introduced varied trims : Base, XE, GXE, GLE, SE and SE Limited ; the fifth or generation ( 2000-2006 ) which introduced torsion beam setup instead of an independent rear suspension. The existing 6th or B16 generation has been available since 2007. Introduced at the northern US world vehicle Show in Jan of 2006, this was the Sentra generation that was graded by the US EPA as a mid-size automobile. Certain classy and technol9ogiical advances will be introduced in its 2010 model.

$8 Billion Loan Given to Ford, Nissan and Tesla
Ford, Nissan and Tesla have been loaned a total sum of $8 billion by the US Energy Department. This money is planned for developing new electric cars, which in turn will create new jobs in the car industry.
The money is designed to help increase jobs in the car industry, aswell as developing new green cars in the process.
Each car maker will receive a different amount of the overall sum. Ford has been given the majority of the loan, $5.9 billion. This money is going to be used to develop entirely new electric cars, aswell as new tech for gasoline engines.
Ford is happy for this money down to the very low interest rate that comes with it, around 3.75%. Ford would have had to pay double figure interest rates if they had tried to optain this amount of money on the open market.
The second largest amount of the loan will be going to Nissan who are getting $1.6 billion. They have released details that the money will be spent making lithium ion batteries in one of their car plants. These new batteries will be going into a new electric car that’s being developed for 2012.
Tesla are only going to receive a tiny amount of the overall sum compared to Ford. Only a small sum of $465 million is going to Tesla in loans. A lump of the money is going to be used to build a factory in California to develop their new Model S Sedan. The other money will be spent on creating new greener car parts for other car makers.
Now they have received this money, we should start seeing a large number of electric cars being developed and released onto the car market. Being able to lease an electric car would save you even more money. I imagine a huge number of people with a Ford lease or Nissan lease would love to have an electric car as this would save them even more money.

“EV development is an exciting new area particularly relevant to the Singapore context. Singapore is well-positioned for the deployment of EVs due to our relative small size, urban environment, robust electrical grid and IT infrastructure,” said Mr Lawrence Wong, Chief Executive, EMA.
“Renault and Nissan aim to become leading brands in zero emission vehicles. Singapore is for us a key priority, as the geography of the country and the focus on environment issues make fast and strong development of electric cars,” said Thierry Koskas Renault electric vehicles programme director. “We are looking forward to working closely with all partners involved to make this project successful.”
The Renault-Nissan Alliance has begun ZEV initiatives in Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama in Japan, as well as in Israel, Denmark, Portugal, Monaco, the UK, France, Switzerland, Ireland, China and Hong Kong. the Alliance is exploring ways to promote zero-emission mobility and the development of an EV infrastructure in the State of Tennessee in the US.
The Alliance has formed partnerships with 26 governments, cities and other organizations to advance the deployment of EVs worldwide.

EV Taskforce
To spearhead Electric Vehicle (EV) test-bedding and infrastructure development in Singapore, a multi-agency taskforce chaired by Energy Market Authority (EMA) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has been set up with members comprising the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Economic Development Board (EDB), National Environment Agency (NEA), Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).
The EV taskforce was set up to assess the benefits and applicability of adopting EVs in Singapore. It will draw up the overall plan of EV test-bedding and evaluation of the environmental and economic benefits, with a view of a potential larger scale adoption of EVs in future. The taskforce will work with key industry players to examine infrastructural requirements, policy requirements and new business models arising from EVs, as well as identify industry development and R&D opportunities. It will also look into educating the public on EV technology though a nationwide EV sharing programme or through corporate fleets. The taskforce will set aside funding for interested parties to develop infrastructure and buy electric vehicle during the test-bedding process.
Energy Market Authority Energy Market Authority (EMA) was formed on 1 April 2001 as a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry to forge a secure, long-term electricity industry that thrives on healthy competition. We have been creating new market sturctures to promote competition in the electricity and gas industries. EMA will also continue to promote cost-competitive outcomes for consumers by ensuring a level playing field for competition within the electricity and gas. As co-chair of the EV Taskforce, EMA endeavors to establish strategic partners for test bedding, identify power grid regulation/licensing for EV charging systems and develop relevant codes and standards. Land Transport Authority Land Transport Authority (LTA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Transport. LTA plans the long-term transport needs and spearheads land transport developments in Singapore. While serving commuters by providing an integrated and user-friendly transport system, LTA addresses wider issues such as sustainable development, economic growth, and community life. LTA helps ensure that relevant regulations, standards and infrastructure are in place and is a co-chair of the EV Taskforce. LTA looks forward to working with leading companies such as Renault-Nissan to develop innovative transport solutions.
Economic Development Board EDB is the lead government agency for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore’s position as a global business centre and grow the Singapore economy. In so doing, we attract economic opportunities and jobs for the people of Singapore, and help shape our country's economic future. EDB’s role in the MOU is to work with industry partners like Renault-Nissan to jointly identify industry development opportunities such as manufacturing and R&D. The MOU is aligned with EDB’s positioning of Singapore as a “Living Laboratory” where leading-edge urban mobility solutions, such as electric vehicles, are tested, developed and exported to the rest of the world.

New Nissan NV200 Van at Geneva Auto Show
Nissan are planning on introducing the NV200, their new compact van, next week at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. Nissan have said that the NV200 van has been designed from stage 1 for commercial and people carrier uses.
Because Nissan are targeting both the business and family use, they have designed 3 different versions of the NV200, the Cargo, designed to carry as much as possible. The plush version is designed to carry up to 7 passengers, and finally the Combi version is designed to carry both goods and people.
The NV200 around 173 inches long and has sliding doors, a 78.8 inch loading bay. The Cargo version can carry a maximum volume of 144.7 cubic feet. Nissan have also said that it can hold 2 European standard sized pallets.
As for the Combi version, Nissan have said that the seats are non-removable, unlike competitors, however, the center and back seats can be folded away, making it easier as you don’t have to store them when you want to carry large goods. The passenger and Combi versions come with a top hinged tailgate, however, the Combi version also has the option to have either sliding or hinged side doors.
As for the engine, Nissan are offering a choise of 2, the Nissan Micra’s 1.6 litre aluminium gasoline engine, or a Renault 1.5 litre diesel powered engine.
The inside of the NV200 comes with a few funky features including a “secret” compartment in the top of the glove box to store electrical items and keep them out of view, although the compartment is not very secret if they tell everyone about it. There is also an option to have a rear view parking camera which is meant to be a first for this van market.
The NV200 is scheduled for release in Japan this coming summer, and then around Europe in autumn, however, Nissan have failed to say whether or not the NV200 will be going on sale in North America.
However, due to the current global recession, will the NV200 be able to build up enough sales? Certainly people are looking less at buying new vans and cars at the moment, although, maybe the NV200 will prove to be a sucess in the van leasing market. There are also some great Mercedes van leasing offers flying around at the moment, that’s if you really need a van before the NV200.
Careful driving and how to save on fuel
Most of us have to keep an eye on our outgoings nowadays and one fairly major expense is running our cars. The price of petrol seems to be forever going up and so there are a few rules we can all follow to help save on fuel.
One thing a lot of us are guilty of at times is putting our foot down when we accelerate. If you drive an automatic it is best to accelerate at a fairly moderate speed in order to give the transmission enough time to shift to the higher gears. If you accelerate away and brake right away this is a big waste of fuel.
A great way to save petrol is simply reduce your speed. As speed increases fuel decreases!
Tyres which are under inflated are very often overlooked. If they are not at the correct pressure they will need to use more petrol to keep the car moving. Get yourself a good tyre gauge and check the tyres at least once a month. One tip is to check them when they are cold because driving the car will warm up the tyres and the air inside which increases pressure and gives a falsely high reading.
Check your air filter because a dirty one restricts the flow of air to the engine which will affect performance and also economy.
New wheels and tyres may look good and they can improve the way that a car handles, but if they are wider they could create more resistance and increase petrol consumption. So it is worth considering keeping the old tyres for long road journeys which will give you a far smoother ride and far better economy.
If you are thinking of changing your vehicle then maybe this will be the ideal time to downsize a little. Nissan and Toyota are two of the leading manufacturers who have developed highly fuel efficient cars.
This may not seem obvious, but take a look inside your car and give it a spring clean. We are all often guilty of hoarding rubbish in our cars and its surprising how these extra things mount up in the terms of weight. The more weight in the car the more fuel there is burnt.
Finally, more than likely not a very popular thing to say, but whenever possible why not simply walk?!!
