How Long will my truck last before it brakes for good?
I have a 1994 Dodge dakota catering truck conversion with 126,000 miles on it. We take realtivley good care of it. We get oil changes every three months etc… It has a v6 engine. We really only make short trips with it, we never really take it on the highway. Actually i dont think its ever been on the highway.

I have had small problems with my truck and i have heard that a bigger truck really is needed. I am contemplating buying my second truck so I’m looking for the best advice making this jump. Thanks!

Minivans that are the right fit for your family
There are many people that choose to drive minivans because it makes it easier to carry a lot of people, especially children. If you´re looking for a new or used minivan, there are many things you should know about a certain vehicle before purchasing it. One very important thing to look into is safety, especially since most people buy a minivan to carry children. Three available minivans are the Dodge Caravan, the Chevrolet Uplander and the Buick Terraza. These three minivans are all lacking in certain important areas and it´s best that you read consumer reviews before even thinking about buying one of these minivans.
The Dodge Caravan has always been known to be the pioneer in the minivan category. Although in the past it offered the best handling and safety, later models have been lacking in these important areas. The interior is made of low quality materials making it feel very cheap and uncomfortable in the cabin. Dodge Haynes ManualThe brakes are weak and it offers an uncomfortable ride. A few other areas where the Dodge Caravan is lacking are the performance and the fuel economy. The Dodge Caravan has chosen to make optional some very important safety features, which makes it less safe than it should be. If you´re looking for something that is going to be reliable and barely ever give you problems, then this is not the vehicle for you.
The Chevrolet Uplander was designed with a different exterior design with the idea of selling it to moms who were sick of the classic minivan exterior. Chevrolet Haynes ManualThis vehicle however was lacking in a lot of basic safety features as well as drivability. One good quality that his minivan does have is a build in hard drive so you won´t have to switch between CDs and DVDs especially on long rides. This minivan was only manufactured for three years before it was discontinued due to it´s low sales.
The Buick Terraza was very similar to the Chevrolet Uplander but it was known to be a more luxury minivan. Although this minivan offers a wide array of luxury features especially in the more expensive models, it falls short in performance, brakes, and safety. If you´re looking for something that is going to be quiet and easy to drive, this is not the comfortable vehicle that you had in mind despite it´s classy interior and exterior designs.
still one of the top runners for everyday travelling
It was not until the later part of the 1980s the Dodge Dakota competed seriously in the compact pick-up trade. Rather than creating a different tiny pick-up lorry to dig for trades alongside robust imports, the corporation made the Dodge Dakota, which is the very first mid-sized pick-up van. Dimension has traditionally been the Dodge Dakota’s major benefit over other automobiles, since it fits cleanly flanked by wrecking large wagons and confined compacts. At the time Dodge launched the Dakota Quad cab in the year two thousand, it became the foremost comparatively small crew cab to put forward justly comfy seating good for four grown-ups.
other than its admired dimensions, the Dodge Dakota has the tendency to travel effortlessly and manage well on the roads. The Dodge Dakota was the first tinier pick-up lorry to get a V8, too. On the other hand, the top import brand names are presently getting equal or even more presentation out of a more fuel-proficient V6, which makes the fresh Dodge Dakota generation at a cheap drawback. Apart from this weakness , however , the Dakota has substantial appeal for shoppers looking out for a roomy and adaptable – wagon with controllable size.
till now, the Dodge Dakota is still one of the top runners for everyday travelling function among the present compact and mid-sized pick-up trucks. The base V6 is going to be satisfactory if fuel saving and price are your major speculations, though it doesn’t go to dazzle any one with its hauling abilities. The V8 meanwhile, presents seriously greater torque and is so superiorly suitable for hauling.
In drive checks and re-evaluations, it is discovered that Dodge Dakota swanks comfy seating, abundant cargo space and simple controls. Whenever supplied with the V8 engine, its power results being rich. Some downsides to this pick-up lorry are its unacceptable interior supplies and coarse travel quality.

The Best Places To Find Used Minivans
Almost every family in America needs transportation of some sort, and if you have a partner, one child, and a German shepherd, it’s very likely that you are looking for a minivan. Thanks to its size and seating potential, the minivan is essentially a great family vehicle – great for transporting light cargo, picking up tired kids from soccer practice, or even the occasional family road trip. However, with the economy in a downturn, lots of households are holding off on getting the minivan they truly want, even though it would benefit them greatly. Having said that, the question is, is it possible to buy a trusty minivan at a low price? By getting a used minivan.
One of the best things about buying used is the fact that they are known to come with a selection of after market parts and enhancements that just aren’t available when buying a new minivan off the showroom floor. An increasing number of minivan owners install components like CD players, GPS units, and even game consoles, which are great for cross-country trips with the family. These enhancements are almost always far superior to those offered by the original minivan maker, and depending on when they were installed, also come with a valid warranty.
Secondly, buying a used minivan is a greener choice. There are literally millions of vehicles in existence, and buying new only worsens the environmental impact. By purchasing a used minivan, you are not increasing the number of vehicles ending up in trash heaps, and this is something you can be proud of.
But perhaps the biggest reason someone would choose a used minivan over a new one is the large amount of dough you can save when buying used. The value of a new minivan can lower as much as 25% the minute [it leaves the dealership~you drive it off the lot], which makes buying new a bad investment. Imagine pouring ,000 into a stock, only to have it drop to ,000 in an instant. So of course, many people are considering used minivans.
So where can you find used minivans? Our favorite resource is Used Minivans (http://usedminivans.org) – a handy and free blog focused on teaching people the basics of purchasing used minivans on the cheap. You’ll have access to a catalog of useful advice on how to find, judge, and ultimately purchase your used vehicle. This site comes completely free of charge, but a short visit could end up saving you king’s ransom on your next minivan purchase.

Government Loves The Crown Victoria
One of the most well known names in autodom is stood to get its first major overhaul in virtually 30 years. Ford’s Crown Victoria, introduced in 1979, has had only minor changes since its introduction, but a new plan by Ford to overhaul the crown jewel of its fleet is reputedly in the offing. Thanks to central authority help – Australian basically – the new Crown Victoria will be a clean break from the current model and will help to spawn extra models for brothers Mercury and Lincoln. Yes, you may not have considered a Crown Victoria up to this point, but the coming new “Crown Vic” may just change your opinion about that.
You have to go back all the way to the late 1970s to when “downsizing” was a term employed by the auto industry to explain a shell game where giant automobiles were dropped down a notch in size to sit on a platform rather smaller than the previous model. Indeed, throughout the 1970s Ford’s full-size offerings the LTD/Galaxie 5 hundred were massive beasts of burden. By the time the then new Galaxie 500 Crown Victoria was released at the end of the decade, Ford was playing catch up to General Motors who had earlier mastered the whole downsizing strategy.
Initially, the Crown Victoria had a broad appeal for drivers wanting a big car with all of the trappings. As time went buy the vehicle grew less and less fascinating as buyer tastes changed, but the Crown Victoria’s style didn’t. As a pursuit, government, or fleet vehicle the Crown Victoria has done very well, but Ford has only made modest improvements to the vehicle over time. Indeed, America’s 2 automaker has invested heavily in trucks, SUVS SUVS and select automobiles, but the Crown Victoria quickly started to show its age. Today’s model is terribly outdated and it hasn’t had a thorough refreshing in more than ten years, so an overhaul is warranted.
Ford’s impetus for change is coming from an unlikely source: a foreign govt. According to reports sources, Ford’s Australian operation has received a $1.4 billion Grant from Australia to build a production and research facility that may be used to design and build several new models. One of the Australian autos slated to take advantage of this move will be the Ford Falcon, a full sized vehicle which will become the root of the all-new Crown Victoria.
While some have theorized the the new Crown Victoria will be built in Australia and imported to the U.S., this is doubtful to occur. Instead, Ford will expand the Falcon’s production to at least one U.S. plant, make some technical refinements, and sell the auto as a Crown Victoria. It’ll be focused to police departments and fleet buyers basically with some residual sales for private buyers. In addition, the Crown Victoria will spawn a new Mercury Gran Marquis while a marginally stretched and lots more classy version of the car will become the replacement for the current Lincoln City Car.
Yes, the Crown Victoria is well past its helpful age. Thanks to some help from down under, the 2010 model should be a refreshing change. At least Ford hopes you will think so.

The all-new 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe is a natural evolution of the heritage of the Dodge Snake , and gives enthusiasts exactly that they are looking for in the ultimate in the final Yank sports car.” He also adds, “Dodge Viper SRT10 customers want to go beyond the level of the regular enthusiast, to the level of outrageous performance. Also added in are a collection of unique amalgamate wheels which measures 18 inches for the front end and some nineteen inches on the back.
The 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe holds an 8.3 litre all-aluminum motor that works alongside 10 cylinders. This engine has the power to produce some five hundred h.p. And around 525 pound feet of torque. To help it all up is a six speed manual transmission.
Backing up Knott’s statement regarding this new vehicle, Trevor Creed, Chrysler Group’s senior VP for design exclaims, “It was significant for us to sustain the emotion in the design. We wanted the 2006 Dodge Snake SRT10 coupe design to incorporate a nod to the first Rattlesnake GTS coupe, but in a latest way. The Dodge Viper SRT10 coupe owner is usually a racer, and the vehicle has to scream that, even when it’s idling at the stoplight. The base line is the new Dodge Rattlesnake SRT10 coupe’s design says a lot about its unique character, and the automobile’s performance is the payoff.”
